Gwyneth Vivienne Ayodele Thomas

Ms. Gwyneth Vivienne Ayodele Thomas was born in London, England on the 24th December 1959 to the late Mr. Ola and Mrs. Louisa Thomas (nee Cole). She was the eldest of five children consisting of 3 girls (1 deceased) and 2 boys.

She spent her early years in London and attended the Croham Hurst School in Croydon, Surrey. Resettling to Freetown, Sierra Leone in 1970 with her family, she attended the Annie Walsh Memorial School for girls where she met one of the first of many of her long-term friends, some of these friendships were to last a lifetime. In 1975 she attended the St Edwards School for Sixth Form before being admitted to Fourah Bay College in 1977 where she graduated with a Bachelors degree in Economics.

After completing college, she started her accounting career working for Mobil, Arthur Young (Chartered Accountants) and KPMG (Chartered Accountants). In 1986, she relocated to the UK to further advance her professional career where she obtained her ACCA and subsequently her FCCA. She worked with other accounting firms before launching her own small private accounting firm, Camys Accounting.

Gwyneth was very passionate about her faith, her love for Christ and her church, Hayes Methodist Church. She was very active in her church and served as treasurer from 2012 up until her untimely death.

She loved travelling, especially cruises, music and watching Police/Law television shows. Gwyneth had a calm exterior but she was never one to back down from a fight or an argument. She had a great sense of humour and very witty. She always kept in touch with her relatives and friends here and abroad and many people young and old would come to her for advice, normally playing a mentoring role. She was extremely supportive of her family.

She leaves behind a sister, three brothers (1 adopted), nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren and numerous other relatives. She is already and will be sorely missed by her family, friends and all who knew and loved her.

May She Rest in Eternal Peace
